Visiting Castles in Aveyron : The Route of the Lords

By Justine | 6 July 2011 | Categories Heritage | no comments, why not add yours ?

In Aveyron, you will find more than a hundred castles. If you cannot visit all of them, you can admire them during walks, alongside country lanes. Still, more than 50 are open to visits and among these, 23 are a little different.

They are part of the Route des Seigneurs du Rouergue or the Route of the Lords of Rouergue. They have signed a charter that guarantees their visiting hours, the quality of reception and the wealth of information provided : guided tours, night visits, Children’s games, entertainment, shows and illuminations are a few exemples of what’s on offer.
